Live Online + Asynchronous | 10 Weeks* | Tuition: $2,495
Wednesday, January 14 – Wednesday, March 25, 2026

Biotech is one of the world’s most dynamic and capital-intensive sectors. Success requires more than scientific insight; it demands the ability to translate discovery into viable commercial and investment opportunities.

This course bridges science, strategy, finance, and ethics to equip participants with the skills needed to develop, evaluate, and position biotechnology ventures. Through SEGP’s BLO team framework, participants work collaboratively to produce real, investment-ready concepts addressing unmet clinical, environmental, or industrial needs.

Led by Dr. Daniel (E. St. Mark) Latty, this workshop brings a multidisciplinary approach to biotech venture creation and scientific investing. Drawing on expertise across data science, finance, and life sciences strategy, Dr. Latty guides participants through a structured, hands-on process for evaluating early-stage biotechnology opportunities and shaping them into investable concepts.

Participants will collaborate in small groups to develop real-world biotech project ideas, strengthen their scientific and commercial rigor, and learn how to position these concepts for funding, partnerships, or product development pathways.
