What workshops are currently available?

We offer two professional courses: A 12-week biotech course and a 1-day intensive workshop:

  1. Biotech Investment & Development 12-weeks course
    Focused on researching, discovering, protecting, developing, investing, marketing, collaborating, therapeutic pipeline modeling, clinical probability forecasting, teaming, and raising capital for life science or disease solutions.

  2. CRE AI Underwriting & Valuation 1-Day Workshop
    Focused on machine learning–driven property valuation, underwriting, risk modeling, and deal analytics.

Both courses are virtual and the workshop is live-hosted while the biotech course is asynchronous.

Do I need a financial, medical, or scientific background for the Biotech course?

No, but free enrolment in our prerequisite one-week preliminary course for registered participants will significantly help with your participation and navigation of the 12-week biotech course.

Is this course compatible with a clinical or full-time professional schedule?

Yes. The course is structured with weekly asynchronous modules and optional live sessions, allowing participants to engage flexibly alongside clinical duties and professional responsibilities.

About the Instructor

Who teaches the workshops?

All courses are instructed live by Dr. Daniel (E. St. Mark) Latty, developer of a new CRE valuation approach introduced during his doctoral work. Dr. Latty has taught advanced graduate courses at two leading research universities in the U.S.; his teaching experience extends over thirty years, and has also taught microeconomics and finance at the undergraduate level. Dr. Latty has presented at the BOMA International Conference (2021) and holds:

  • PhD in Data Science

  • MS in Real Estate Development (NYU Schack)

  • MBA in Finance

  • MS in Biotechnology

His background includes managing multi-billion-dollar real estate debt portfolios and serving on the earliest CMBS B-piece analytics platform at Criimi Mae (acquired by CWCapital), as well as previously investing in biotech firm Recombinix, LLC. He led the buyout of airport logistics company, served as head of a PE fund, commercial bank, and investment bank.

How do I register?

Each workshop or course page includes secure PayPal payment buttons. Once you complete checkout, you’ll receive an automated confirmation email.

Do you accept international participants?

Yes. Because the course is virtual and payments are processed through PayPal, participants from most countries can register.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. All transactions are routed directly through PayPal’s encrypted checkout environment. SEGP does not store financial information.

Refunds & Cancellations

What is your refund policy?

  • Full Refund: If canceled 14 days or more before the course date.

  • 50% Refund: If canceled 7–13 days before the course date.

  • Non-Refundable: Cancellations 6 days or fewer before the workshop.

All policies follow standard U.S. professional-training guidelines. Check the course page for specific policies.

Course Logistics

Is the workshop and course live or pre-recorded?

The workshop is taught live, with real-time Q&A and examples. The biotech course is recorded for participants to review with copyrighted restrictions.

How long is each workshop or course?

Approximately 6 hours with short breaks and teaming chats for the workshop. The course lasts total 11 weeks, if the pre-req week is included.

What software do I need?

  • Zoom

  • Excel (or Google Sheets equivalent)

  • No programming experience required

Will I receive course materials?

Yes. Depending on course or workshop, participants receive:

  • Slide deck

  • Sample models

  • Case study sheets

  • Reference guide

Materials are delivered electronically to your registered email or portal.

After the Workshop

Do I receive a certificate?

Yes. A digital Certificate of Completion is emailed to all participants.

Can I contact the instructor afterward?

Yes, follow-up guidance is available via email for technical questions related to the curriculum.

Will the session be recorded?

To protect proprietary content and participant privacy, workshops are not recorded. Supplemental material is provided.
